Cricket Coaches
With David Byas at the helm we have a talented team of qualified and professional coaches, some still playing the game at a senior level.
David Byas
Founder of Byas Academy - David Byas is a top domestic cricket coach and former Yorkshire county cricket captain.
Paul Shaw
Paul Shaw - Former England Women's Performance Coach and Staffordshire County player, currently working with the ECB delivering coaching seminars and workshops.
Craig White
Craig is a former England and Yorkshire cricket player and captain who has more recently been part of the coaching team at Hampshire Cricket Club. Craig joined our coaching team in 2019.
Jonny Tattersall
Jonny is a Yorkshire cricket player who has also represented England in the U19 team.
Will Rhodes
Will is a current Warwickshire County player, a former Yorkshire player and represented England as an U19 player.
James Middlebrook
James is a former Yorkshire, Essex and Northampton All Rounder and joins us for the first time in 2018
Jack Leaning
Jack is a Yorkshire cricket player and we are delighted that he is part of the Byas Academy Coaching team.
Jonny Wheeler
Jonny has worked with Leicester Tigers, North of England U15 and U18 Ladies Rugby Teams and is currently involved with Yorkshire Carneige. Jonny supports all of our Residential Camps with his expert knowledge in the field of Strength and Conditioning.
Charlie Lambert
Charlie is a Level 2 coach having previously coached East Yorkshire. He represented Yorkshire U15, is a former Pocklington School 1st XI captain and has worked for Byas Academy for the last 3 years.
Henry Perham
Henry is a former Yorkshire Age Group Coach as well as working at Pocklington School with David Byas.
Georgia Hird
Georgia has a degree in Sports and Exercise Science and is a qualified UKSCA Youth Strength and Conditioning coach having recently been heavily involved in working with the professional cricket players of Yorkshire County Cricket Club. Georgia is also an accomplished middle-distance athlete having competed at county, regional and national level.
Piet Rinke
Piet is a former Zimbabwe international allrounder. He is currently the head cricket coach at Scarborugh College.
Fritz de Beer
Fritz is a South African cricketer who made his first class debut for Boland in 2018.
Harry Jackson
Harry is the former Pocklington School cricket captain who is currently shadowing David through the winter to further his coaching qualifications.
