Byas Academy Summer Cricket Camps have been running successfully since 2008 and are a cornerstone of our summer programme. Designed for junior cricketers who want to develop their skills, confidence, and understanding of the game, our camps combine high-quality coaching with outstanding facilities and an enjoyable, supportive environment. Held at Pocklington School, the camp offers both residential and non-residential options, allowing players to fully immerse themselves in cricket while benefiting from excellent pitches, indoor facilities, and boarding accommodation. The structured setting enables players to focus, improve, and enjoy a full academy experience. A key strength of Byas Academy is our 1:7 coach-to-player ratio, ensuring every participant receives individual attention and meaningful feedback. Our emphasis is on helping each player leave the camp with a stronger technical foundation, greater tactical awareness, and clear development points. The camp follows a competitive and inclusive format, with players divided into teams representing different nations. These teams compete across matches, skills challenges, and activities throughout the week, encouraging teamwork, resilience, and enjoyment. The winning team receives a prize at the end of the camp. Camp Programme Includes: • Core skill analysis with video feedback • Physical conditioning workshop • Conditioned games to improve tactical awareness • 11-a-side and 6-a-side match play • Individual verbal appraisal for each player • Skills testing to identify strengths and areas for development • Team challenges, including BYAS Academy Got Talent Residential players stay in Pocklington School boarding houses and enjoy a full programme of supervised evening activities. All meals are provided, and every player receives BYAS Academy Adidas-branded kit at the start of the camp.
